Theoretical Orientation- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
At Tesserae Family Therapy, we use evidence-based CBT techniques to help treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, and attention/focus difficulties. For younger clients, we use behavioral strategies such as behavior modification to help improve negative patterns of behavior as well as teach coping skills to help manage difficult feelings. We find it beneficial to work with parent(s) in therapy so we can work as a team to provide effective behavioral support.
PEERS®, Program For The Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills, is an evidenced based social skills program from UCLA Semel Institute, showing benefit for individuals with Autism. PEERS® is also appropriate for individuals with ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression.

12 week PEERS® for Adolescents (ages 12-17)
12 week PEERS® for Young Adults (ages 18-30)
6 week Social Skills Boot Camp covering PEERS® skills (ages 12-17)
